The aim of AutoDC was to provide an innovative design framework for autonomous data centers. An autonomous datacenter should be able to, without any human intervention, from a best effort perspective continue its operation independent of contextual interference, such as intermittent power failure, failing components, overheating etc. |

Philip Rudén has been at RISE ICE Datacenter doing his master thesis project on fluid dynamic simulations for green houses connected to datacenters.
The main objective of the project was to see if it possible to use waste heat from a datacenter to heat a greenhouse, but also to see if it possible to recirculate the air from the greenhouse back in to the datacenter. |

Tor Björn Minde, RISE |
Tor Björn Minde held a keynote about 5G/6G impact on the datacenter industry at the Datacenter & Colocation Day 2021 in September in Würzburg organized by Vogel-IT.
The number of small datacenters will in cities be tenfold. Industry sites and plants will have single access mobile networks with a number of edge nodes for low latency industry applications and it will happen first. |
