Welcome
We kindly want to invite you to the CATAPULT – Mid-term conference 25.04.2022 in Leuven.
The goal of the CATAPULT project is to develop and adapt policies for inclusive autonomous mobility solutions for cities and urban regions. In particular, we investigate the needs of children, older persons and persons with temporary and long-term sensory and/or physical impairments.
The needs of these potential user groups of these autonomous mobility services and suited use cases, have been underrepresented in the development process so far. We conducted field tests with these user groups to ascertain their requirements and challenges in using these services. At KU Leuven, a co-creation approach - a serious game - is being developed to understand the needs, barriers, drivers and interactions among end users, policy makers and mobility service providers, and to develop jointly supported solutions.
CATAPULT will provide essential components for the development of practical step-by-step policy recommendations for policy makers and mobility service providers and a tool for stakeholder involvement through co-creation methods.
At the project’s mid-term conference, we would like to welcome you as our guests and discuss potential use cases of autonomous mobility solutions as well as the steps needed to ensure the continuation of the process towards more inclusive mobility solutions with you.
We are keen to have participants from multiple disciplines, interest groups representing our target user groups, researchers from related projects and practitioners of co-creation approaches, actively involved at our conference.
