March Marks the Event of the Year!
This year has commenced with incredible energy as we once again host the Additive Intelligence 4.0 conference. Collaborating with the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre and the Maintenance Trade Fair adds an element of excitement, enabling us to expand the event and establish connections with the maintenance sector, strengthening the AM Center as a versatile platform for them as well.

Bringing together experts from various disciplines across Europe to exchange insights, experiences, and knowledge creates an exceptional learning environment. The on-site demonstration of large-scale additive manufacturing highlights the strong collaboration among industrial partners engaged in robot-assisted additive manufacturing in Sweden.

Another highlight is the recently launched 3D-Action 2.0 project, which builds upon the foundation laid by 3D-Action, acting as a catalyst for small and medium-sized enterprises venturing into additive manufacturing. Co-funded by the European Union, and Region Västra Götaland, the project has a total budget of approximately 15 MSEK. More details about the project and, naturally, about the upcoming event, can be found below.

I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to meet as many colleagues and partners as possible at Additive Intelligence 4.0!

Other activities at the AM Center
The work in various other projects and assignments continues with undiminished strength. Here are a few highlights from the ongoing activities at the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing.
SPARSAM is evolving into MATER-AM
Building on the SPARSAM project, MATER-AM addresses the resource-efficient, sustainable, and resilient supply chain needs of society and Swedish export firms. Through additive manufacturing, the project aims to develop digital spare part distribution, built on decentralized, demand-driven production and circular material flows. The project is funded by Vinnova.
3D-Action ready for round two
From 2021 to 2023, the 3D-Action project laid a strong foundation in Region Västra Götaland, aiding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their adoption of 3D printing.
Through support from the European Union and Region Västra Götaland, the work will now carry on
