Meta has decided to fund research in resource-efficient data centers with the goal of significantly reducing energy use in computing resources through better holistic control of cooling.

It rewards an innovation with significant social and/or economic impact produced with a major contribution from an EARTO member. RISE competed in the category Impact Delivered. The target of the awarded innovation is to reduce the use of energy in data centres and achieve the same amount of digital services with less energy. |
