European Lightweight Cooperation
April, May and June are intensive months for the European cooperation within lightweight. Together we strengthen lightweight solutions as an important way to reach a sustainable future in Europe. LIGHTer participates in activities in Paris, Berlin, Stuttgart, Brussels, Vienna and Linz. On June 8-9 we welcome the European Lightweighting Network to the third high level conference in Stockholm.

We are honoured to host the 3rd Meeting of the European Lightweighting Network in Stockholm on June 8-9.
Representatives of both European governments and other lightweight initiatives will participate at the meeting that is organised as part of the Swedish presidency of the European Council.

Join our academic workshop in Austria!
LIGHTer PhD Network is organising a workshop in Vienna and Linz, Austria. We will visit Austrian researchers from industry and research institutes and see how they work with lightweight innovation. Travel costs and accomodation will be covered for LIGHTer PhD Network students and alumni.

Eureka Call for lightweighting projects
The national funding bodies from Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Luxembourg, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland have allocated funding for organisations collaborating on international R&D projects in the field of lightweighting.

No European Green Deal without Lightweight Technology
The lightweight networks ELA, ELCA, PKTK, ECGA and EUCIA are co-organising an event on the role of lightweight technologies in the European Green Deal. 

The event is held in Brussels on 4 May, and LIGHTer will participate as a speaker on the topic Potential Impact of Lightweight Technology on Climate Protection, Energy and Resource

LIGHTer participates in panel discussion during JEC 2023
LIGHTer will be one of the participants in the panel on Lightweight Made in Europe: Challenges and Opportunities. 
We know that lighweight can improve resource efficiency and help companies to become more circular. But how can European lightweight technology remain competitive at a global scale? Join our panel forum where the economic and sustainability potential of lightweight technology made in Europe will be discussed, centred around how to achieve European climate protection and sustainable development goals.
