Wonderful to welcome you to Sweden!

LIGHTer has proudly and joyfully hosted the LIGHTer International Conference. 98 entries from 9 different countries made the discussions exciting and constructive.

As a follow-up, we also welcome industry delegations from both Austria and Germany. When Swedish companies and research organizations open the doors for dedicated visits, the result is often concrete and realistic.

For small innovative international companies, we offer cooperation in our Swedish test beds for lightweight. The surrounding networks are often very interesting.

In addition to these opportunities here and now, we are arranging the third meeting of the European Lightweighting Network in the spring of 2023.

We wish you a fruitful May!

We had a great conference
Many thanks to all of you who participated at LIGHTer International Conference 2022! We had two exciting days of inspiring conversations, interesting speeches, networking and exchange on sustainable lightweight solutions.
Close to a hundred people had registered. To our delight, there were participants from nine different European countries. The suspicion of finally being able to meet after all the shutdowns was obvious.
In addition to the four Keynote Speakers and four parallel sessions, there was a conference dinner, a poster exhibition, an innovation competition, and an information meeting on the European Lightweighting Network.
Now we will work hard to further develop all the contacts and knowledge we gained during the conference. We are already looking forward to the next LIGHTer International Conference 2024.

Industry delegation from Austria
An Austrian delegation visited LIGHTer International Conference in Gothenburg on April 6-7. They also visited some companies atound Gothenburg. Their goal was to deepen their knowledge in lightweight technologies and find potential collaborations between Swedish and Austrian companies. The delegation was a success, and we are looking forward to seeing future projects!

LIGHTer participated in a G7 workshop
LIGHTer had the honour to be a part of a panel at the G7 workshop on resource efficiency, lightweighting and circular economy on March 23. The theme of the panel discussion was “Contribution of lightweighting to resource efficiency, climate action and the economy”.

After a high-level opening, the workshop addressed lightweight as an enabler in the green transition. The goal was to discuss the possible contribution of lightweight solutions to the climate, broader environmental benefits, and economic growth based on resource efficiency.

LIGHTer really appreciated this opportunity to make a holistic and sustainable contribution to the transition towards a planet in balance.
