Welcome to SALLPI Webinar: Infrastructure as Code.
Thursday 15 April at 09:00-10:00

A company journey by BASALT
What is Infrastructure as Code?
With technology giants in the IT domain like GitHub, Mozilla, Facebook, Google and Netflix having adopted Infrastructure as Code as a fundamental practice for continuous deployment. Can it be relevant for your organization?
Let’s get down to why, how and what a journey into Infrastructure as Code can look like at a real company, BASALT that works with Cyber Security and is located in Enköping.
This is the first of a small webinar series hosted by the SALLPI project and RISE. It is open for any participant interested in the topic that will be presented. Questions can be posted in the chat during the presentation or sent to the contact person after the event.

We think you are familiar with the problems, costs and time it takes to maintain your old legacy-systems, to keep them running and secure at all time. Probably you have one technician with the knowhow to give them necessary life-support. Another problem with old legacy-systems is that they probably are running in a non-supported operating system and therefore you get no security patches. We know that this is the case for many companies out there… same problems, that need the same solution.
Basalt comes from developing military-grade systems to the Swedish Armed Forces and have the experience of building extremely safe systems that needs to be maintained over time and in different locations and environments. With that experience Basalt decided to develop an IT-platform that is maintainable over time and fits most customers. The result is a cost-effective and secure solution built with state-of-the-art architecture, methods and components, and we bet that our solution has a much lower Total Cost of Ownership than the traditional ones. To achieve what we are promising we are using automation and Infrastructure as Code to build, deliver and deploy functions and updates that is needed for you applications to run effectively and secured.
