International cooperation in focus
We are proud to be invited to speak at Lightweighting Summit at the Hannover Fair. Sweden will be represented by our Minister of Foreign Trade Anna Hallberg and Technical Leader Metallic Materials & Joining Techniques at Volvo Car Group Richard Johansson speaking speaking on behalf of LIGHTer. The event is open to all interested, see below.

Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, … many countries are in bilateral talks with us in finding the most effective and innovative way to cooperate within lightweight technology. We are looking forward to joining forces in developing sustainable technologies to enhance the green transition of Europe. One way of facilitating cooperation is to be active in ELCA, read more below.

On April 8, we open LIGHTer’s annual call for R&D-projects and feasibility studies. We have raised the requirements for sustainability in all applications to be funded. Partners from outside of Sweden are welcome to participate, but are not allowed to receive Swedish national research funding. The call closes on September 30.

LIGHTer Academy and LIGHTer PhD Network welcome you to interesting and inspiring seminars on line.

We wish you all an inspiring and enjoyable spring!

How can ELCA support your lightweight innovations?
LIGHTer is an active member of ELCA (European Lightweight Cluster Alliance).

ELCA is a collaborative initiative that aims to accelerate the adoption of lightweight solutions in strategic industries.
Industries providing mobility in all forms are the primary focus of the alliance, but applications in, and cooperation with, other lightweighting sectors are also targeted; including for instance energy, health care, defence and construction.
We are looking forward to all the European cooperation that we will create through this network where new possibilities of future lightweight technologies can be shared, found and looked into.
If you are looking for European partners, please contact us and we will support you in finding collaboration partners, open calls and networking possibilities with the other cluster members.
Contact Christian Olsson to know more about LIGHTer and ELCA.
